After an extensive recruitment and planning process, we’re excited to announce Gavin Heathcote as the new Chief Executive Officer of AWA Alliance Bank. 

Further to our previous announcement of Graeme Scannell’s retirement after 30 years of service, “We couldn’t be happier with the alignment of values acquired in his successor. I have great confidence in AWA’s future and its potential moving forward”, Graeme added. “After a long journey, which I have immensely enjoyed, I can say with confidence the values of AWA will not only continue, but thrive under Gavin’s leadership”. 

Gavin brings with him over 30 years of banking experience in senior roles in a wide range of settings in Australia and overseas. He has a strong affinity and connection with the community and is active in several organisations that contribute to our community. 

“I’m truly excited to take on the responsibility of serving our members”, Gavin added. “The work to improve the financial wellbeing of members while helping the community through philanthropic endeavours is the perfect alignment to my personal and professional objectives.”
